The sound is also much better than anticipated, especially at this price point. My fairly low male voice sounds great. Spoke words are very intelligible and clear, and the tone of the voice is quite excellent, natural with a very full frequency spectrum, including robust, but clear, bass and midrange. It can be a bit sibilant, on my voice, which is the only one I have tried it on. But the sibilance is easily addressed in recording software like Cubase, Logic, Audacity Reason, Pro Tools etc. This type of mic is optimized for use with 3.5mm TRS input devices like many cameras, and some computers and soundcards. This is perfect for devices that do not supply "plug-in" power through their microphone jacks.
