This back support does make you sit up and pushes on the right spot of your lower back. Unfortunately, the seat is so hard that it can only be used for short periods of time. It fit fine on both my chairs, but if you expect it to cover the full bottom of the chair, you will be disappointed. It is made rather narrow to fit a variety of chair sizes and the curving of the back pushes you forward making it seem shorter. It is big enough for me. Depending on the size and cushioning of the chair bottom, it seems to come up short and makes you feel like you are tipping forward on larger padded office chairs. The functionality of this back support is completely subjective and situational. Seems to need further development of design for a more universal fit.
