Typically, one is only using a Tbsp or less of course and it would be a very expensive way to try to get a buzz. **Q: The 32 oz bottle of vanilla has a warning about being flammable and the 8 oz bottle of "gourmet pure" vanilla does not. Anyone know? Similar taste?** A: I only purchased the larger size. Real vanilla extract always has SOME alcohol so perhaps a warning is required (by some silly law) only for the larger size. I doubt that it’s truly very flammable. **Q: Why doesn't this specify the % alcohol content?** A: It might specify it on the bottle. I’ll look in the morning. I think if I remember right it’s 35% **Q: How long is a bottle good for once opened?** A: The “best-by” date goes out about 5 yrs. There’s really nothing in it to spoil; vanilla extract, water and alcohol. It doesn’t say anything about refrigeration but I do and I’ve used similar products over a period of 2 yrs or more.
