Supplements and vitamins should NOT be allowed to make a bunch of claims without rigorous clinical studies to back it up. All these schmucks have to do is put a disclaimer on the bottle in very small print (something along the lines of "These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). This product is not intended to treat, diagnose, prevent, or cure any condition or disease." Once they include that disclaimer on the label, they can say anything they want about it. This is yet another example of modern-day snake oil. Sure, it might have some vitamins and nutrients in it, but is it truly safe? Does it have any contraindications? Does it cross-react with other medications? What about possible side effects? Sorry, but you are playing Russian Roulette with your health and possibly your life by taking this product without consulting with a physician first.
