Probably a little taller and narrower than a Harry Potter novel. The only issue is that you're probably going to break/bend the binding very early in your usage. I can only open the book about 35 degrees before I worry about splitting the book. This book is basically a specialized compendium of sections 'ripped from' college-level math and science textbooks and, where applicable, the corresponding Wolfram online demo (almost every science topic references a demo link, with only a handful presenting the code within the book itself; opposite for the math portion of book). And these appear to be fairly high-level (in terms of quality) demos. Most sections include what you would find in a textbook, the topic and equations being explained. Some of the science ones are just an explanation of the demo. Each of the demos appears to have been created by the author (he has 358 posted). Although each of the demos contains a description, often containing equations, the descriptions in this book are more detailed and resemble a textbook section rather than a list of equations upon which the demo is built. The benefit of using demos rather than typing the code into the book is that everyone can access the demos. They're free to use using the Wolfram Player. For those of you (and me) with the Mathematica software, you can download the source code for the demo and tweak it to your heart's content. So this saves you having to type the code out yourself. Obviously, you don't need the book to access the demos or the code for the demos, as those are all online. What this book offers in addition is 1) code for high-level mathematics topics (intermediate-to-upper level college) and 2) deeper discussion and explanation of the topics connected to the online demos.
