However, when installing a new bell push on our new front door, which was a surprisingly intricate job, I decided to just buy a kit of many types so that I always had enough in stock for DIY and hobby work.I used the red small ring connectors for this application and they are fit for purpose. The metal is quality but can be bent into shape if required. The insulated part of the ones I used did not have a full length metal sleeve inside them as some connectors do. I think that this is appropriate because the insulated should be crimped onto the wire sheath which should be prepared with a small amount of bare wire that slots into just the end part of the metal head.
