This incense is a bit on the acrid side, comparable to sandalwood in that sense. I find that it burns best in an environment with still air or a closed burner. If forced to burn faster (e.g., with a fan or wind) it'll get more acrid. But if burned in a closed burner, it yields an invigorating forest scent. It is good for outdoor and open-air spaces.
