Huh, it worked, now I could insert my SD card.Neither the SD card or micro SD card was recognized by the Mac.The device is going to be replaced and I'll give it another try. If it is the same I'll let you and Sinstar know.UPDATE: received the replacement unit which was loose in the product box, no internal packaging, and had coffee stains on it so it was obviously a used adapter. Plugged it in and went through the checks of all the ports and everything worked fine with this one. So, cleaned it up and UPSed back the first one I received. Gave it one more star rating. ### ⭐⭐ Issues with Thunderbolt / Monitor Adapter *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on July 16, 2019* The Product is semi-sturdy and streamlined a Macbook Pro body. However my Thunderbolt monitor's Lighting adapter seems to hold issues with the extension adapter. It continues to reject the connection after a few minutes of use. I'm sure it's not specific to this particular hardware but the engineering.
