Cardboard takes up the most space, but I break down the boxes and put them behind the bins. Plastic, glass and aluminum all fit perfectly. They are a good size and they have made this area of the garage more organized. It would be nice if they were slightly bigger and I had a lid to place on the top bin, but those issues aren't deal breakers.
