Hell, 11 stars..This is the best cordless drill I've ever owned. I've owned 4, this is my 5th. I had (still have) the "baby blue/turquoise" stalwart Makita, Milwaukee, Black and Decker, and another I can't' remember right now.This is by far the most powerful cordless drill I've ever owned.It is the easiest to use.It has great clutch points with a WIDE range.It has a work light pointing at where you are drilling (not powerful but very useful).It has two torque modes.It is very lightweight for its power, and perfectly balanced in the hand. Very well designed.And, the thing that I still can't get over: I bought/received this drill and battery during the first week of Dec. 2014. I charged up the 20V batter with supplied charger fully before first use (hey, I follow the rules, man).Then, I proceeded to use this drill on a "every third day" or so basis, doing a wide variety of jobs around the new house (purchased a new home last year and have been doing TONS of home projects), from heavy drilling jobs to a million dollar network upgrade project I used it for at work, to the normal "screw this, tighten that" type stuff. And I do mean, at least twice a week I've used this since owning it; doing runtime duty of 10 minutes (over a few hours) to an hour of continuous use....And...The battery didn't die until May 20th, 2015. That's over 6 MONTHS of continuous significant use without having to charge the battery, with no loss of power or effectiveness until it needed charging. Swapped in the 2nd charged battery and I was back up and running (and, btw, within a couple hours the original battery was charged fully again and ready to go).I suspect I won't need to swap the other one in until my purchase anniversary / December....As a dedicated DIY'er, this is the best purchase I have made in years, and I expect, based on the workmanship/quality of this drill, that I won't need to replace it for a decade or longer (granted that they keep making compatible batteries)..A very happy customer. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ It's fine. *by S***B on Reviewed in the United States on November 1, 2014* It's fine. The chuck is no big deal. True, it's not a Jacobs. The writers who had trouble keeping the bit in the chuck probably did not read the directions. Clue: you do not tighten the chuck to hold the bit. Read the instructions. It is as well made as any cordless drill on the market to day, including the $635. Festool which I returned because the batteries wouldn't charge. Which is to say that it is no better than my old 9v. Hilte or 12v. PC (when they made tools instead of toys). I have a Makita 10.8v. ion which performed as well as this DeWalt (both easily driving 3" wood screws), but without all the noise and almost half the size and weight. The light is much better on the Makita as it shines straight on the work and is as bright as a mini flashlight. Let's face facts: the tools built today are no match for the older ones. I will keep my oldies but goodies as long as I can and I will use corded drills (like my 30 year old Milwaukee 3/8" reverse which I use almost as often as my toothbrush) until I can no longer lift it. I feel sorry for the future generations who will be stuck buying at HD and Lowes. But, then, they won't know any better. When this DeWalt bites the dust, as it will, I hope I'm not stuck with what awaits us. Are you listening Stanley and TIA? Β Here is some of the info not included in the product description:The drill is made in Mexico.Manufacturer's warranty is 2 years.The bit holder is not included. (There is a space for it on the handle)I am switching to this drill from a 15 year old Porter Cable 12volt.The following are my first impressions:The Good:The chuck is all metal.The drill is definitely very light, has a surprising amount of torque, nicely balanced and very comfortableThe Bad:Battery wobbles on the drill by at least a 1/8" (you can see the gap on the product photo, at the seam right above the battery lock), which makes it feel like a cheap toy.According to the instructions you are not supposed to tighten the chuck by holding it while it is spinning. The suggested way is to put the direction switch into center position, (which locks everything) then hand tighten.
