Even if it’s dark inside the loo the light will not switch on with movement (excuse the pun). This is because the daytime sensor is on the solar panel which is kept outside. Therefore even if it’s pitch black inside where the light is it still thinks it’s bright and won’t turn on until it’s dark outside too. Very frustrating design flaw which means I was unable to use it in foe my windowless shed. In answer about the brightness it would be perfect for a small room such as a toilet just so long as you don’t need it during daylight hours. **Q: Please explain the one mode? Which mode will it operate please? Thanks** A: 1 mode is the motion sensor.. Will only light up at night! 2 mode, dimmable sensor, stays dim until motion sensor detects movement, then turns bright 3 mode always on.
