Usually get the urge to go within 12-13 minutes. **Q: Will this make your stool soft, or is it just a laxative?** A: It won't change the composition of the stool, but I think it helps "get it out" if you can't pass. It's a good idea to set aside 30-45 minutes and just let it sit as long as you can. Just don't be too far from a bathroom.
