Review: does the job - I've had 2 CIPA 18000 Universal Oblong Chrome Car Side Mirrors on my classic for several years, but was slightly unhappy with the amount of inboard swivel to get it aimed correctly on the passenger side. Needed another, and this looked similar, so I thought I'd give it a try to see if it pleased me more. This is a product with a glass mirror mounted in a chromed-plastic housing. The mirror is flat, not convex at all. Both the body around the mirror and the stem that mounts to the car are plastic. There is a screw adjustment to make the swivel stiffer or looser, and a steel bracket that mounts to the car-door with sheet-metal screws through elongated holes -- I was able to use the existing mirror bolts and bolt positions, and the holes are elongated by about 4 cm so there is plenty of adjustment to get the mirror body into the right fore-aft position. Having compared the mirror, gasket, and bracket, I can say that this product is completely indistinguishable from the CIPA 18000. They look like they came off the same assembly line from the same molds. When you stand within a meter of this you might notice that there is a hint of a mold parting line, but at greater distances it just looks chromey like the rest of the chrome on the car. I've taken it through the automatic car-wash with no damage. Colin Chapman used to say 'Simplify, then add lightness' was his secret of racing track success. This has all the appearance and durability of a molded pot-metal chromed accessory, but a fraction of the weight. And it lets me see who is behind me in the adjacent lane.
Review: Really terrible mounting bracket design - These mirrors are absolutely terrible. They didn't mount properly and continued to slip off their mounting brackets. Additionally, they are hard to adjust due to the fact that they are made entirely of plastic. As soon as I tried to adjust them they dislodged from the mounting brackets and were only hanging by the set screw.

**Q: Please tell me “exactly” how far apart the screw holes are in inches on these mirrors?**
A: The mounting plate has slots to accommodate a range of distance between screws. I'm still using the (compatible) plate from the CIPA mirror that I broke, as the CIPA plate has an extra center hole and can accommodate both wider and narrower spacing. Video is a comparison of the measured drawings from the online instructions 
 between this mirror and the CIPA 18000 which is VERY similar in appearance.

**Q: How tall is the mirror**
A: Hi Jennifer, I'm not sure which dimension you are asking about.  From base to top of mirror it's about 6 inches or so.  The height of the mirror itself is about 3-4 inches I would estimate.  I don't have the mirror in front of me.  It's pretty standard size.  It is plastic and not that great quality but it will get the job done and get you through safety check

These mirrors are absolutely terrible. They didn't mount properly and continued to slip off their mounting brackets.
