Magnetic Pendulum. Once set in motion, the pendulum moves in apparently random ways as it is alternatively attracted and repelled by the magnets attached to the enameled cast iron base. Entertaining as a desk toy. The device is also useful as an educational device or as a random number generator. Sturdily constructed, this is not a plastic toy.

This level of design flaw is dumbfounding for a science oriented device. 2. Polyethylene type material the magnet is suspended on is bent in packing and will not straighten without heating. Positive: Quality of base is good as are the magnets and the target circles. Until arm design is resolved, it is not reasonably functional at any price.
