However, I did not expect one side to not work at all.There doesn't seem to be anything special about the surface finish of the control side, to make it "control" other than the fact that it is rough finish plastic.What was most dissapointing about it was that the "speed" side did not work at all for my Razer Deathadder 3.5G.I believe the black reflective surface does not work for optical mouse. The surface is essentially smooth finished plastic with possible "shiny coating" for low friction.
