The unit arrived on time, no damage and the installation was a piece of cake thanks to some excellent youtube helpers. We did it ourselves and after installation it has been tested on all functions and all speeds and has now been running happily for a day. So far I have no complaints, we will see how things look in one year. It is lovely and quiet below 30% fan speed. Review: I don't know how they could make this unit any better! You can use it while it's raining, you can set it to turn on when it gets too warm, it has a remote control, it's quiet (at the lower speed settings) and it moves a LOT of air! Installation was simple. Make sure you get some Dicor lap sealant - I used every bit of 2 tubes. I'll order 3 tubes for my next fan. My only complaint is that the fan whistles faintly when it's running while there are no windows or doors open in the RV, but that's not enough of an issue for me to take any stars away. No you do not need a separate cover. Easy to install. Great product. Get two tubes of Dicor self leveling sealant, and a role of butyl tape for a proper install. **Q: Is this the entire fan or just the fan lid? the description says fan lid, not fan. thanks.** A: If you look at the more information you will realise exactly what you are buying.the lid is smoked and not white.
