It has external power only to make it brighter, which I have going on at all times. It's just a controller to use for ableton, so all you'll need is Ableton 9.5 **Q: With ka6 interface and abelton 9.6, can i use this to loop, play, and record multiple tracks at same time??? guitar, keyboards, and vocals...** A: No this won't actually record anything.
