But there was not familiar desertcart plastic packet. The switch looks great. Remote is good looking and well designed. You can install it yourself, very easily, actually I install it myself. But they should give us proper box with it, optionally, with some extra cost. Because I found it very difficult to arrange a proper box. It was not fitted in a local 3×3 box. The remote is good and it can be operated from very long range. But I found that in some area of a room it struggled to connect, ie you have to press buttons more than once. Or change the direction. I have inverter and it works with it perfectly. Every thing remains same after power cut, as my inverter is very old and with trapezoidal wave. But which the company claims, about the memory, and After power cut, it retains its previous state, are totally false. (without using inverter). I tried to press on/off button after power cut and when power came back, and it became off status, as they said in a question, but it doesn't retain its previous state. And the all 5 points became on. And the fan is on the 3rd speed. (Default). I asked their representative about this in their given help number, they responded, assured to help, but then did not contact me till now.( After lots of days). So I think it's don't have this feature. But as I have inverter and it's working with inverters, I don't have any problems with it. On/off switch, retains previous state. I am facing some humming sound from my fan, but only when it is in 1 or 2 speed, and in 3, 4, 5 speed, I am not facing any humming. Using inverter always my fan makes humming sound, but I am facing a serious problem. When the remote switch is totally off, and my old switch board is also off, ie my fan is off and the inverter is on (ie during power cut), surprisingly my fan makes a humming sound. I test with tester, there was not any live current in the fan, but still the sound comes. I am using it for about 15 days and it is working great and looks it can last long. So it's a good remote switch but need some further development and you can buy it. Now after using it for about 3 months, I noticed a serious defect in the product. After changing my fan, it didn't make any humming sound. And when I changed the fan I got a electric shock from the live, when the fan is totally off. I tested and saw the live wire leaking approx 6v AC, but I got a shock. Actually the fan is always on. You will notice the other 4 points has relay but the fan has not. And if you switch the fan increase or decrease button the fan will start moving. But actually I like the product and it seems it will last long. The quality of finish and performance is top notch. The remote seems to be a wireless one, and not infrared. That means, you dont have to point and control. It will work from anywhere with In 20 feet of the switch. The only shortcoming is that the switch doesn't come with a box.
