It is light weight, and the separate stand is sturdy and good quality. Can be used while on charge or the cable can be disconnected and uses stored power. The surface of the lamp is tactile to give an overall look and feel of the real thing. The remote control is easy to use and has many options for glow, colour, on and off buttons and speed of colour change. Can also be static. I am really happy with this purchase and it has become a focus of conversation when I have visitors. Think I will buy a couple more as presents for friends in the near future.

**Q: Is it possible to buy a remote separately for this type of lamp?  I need one urgently!**
A: I doubt it to be honest, and if you could it probably wouldn't be much cheaper than a completely new moon.

A: No it stays on until its turned off

**Q: Does it have to be plugged in to work or can it be charged?**
A: It do not need to plugged in to work as usually,  Only need to be plug in the power when it need to be charging

Have had another one of these previously from a different company, so am able to compare. This one is lovely, works well, remote works fine, BUT, after about an hour it suddenly begins of it's own accord, to scroll very fast through the colours (changing from the colour it was set on). It's very irritating, it has a mind of it's own. You can reset it to the colour you want, but after a while, again it starts scrolling through all of the colours very fast. If you can live with this-fine. I simply reset it, but I think it's definitely a fault of some kind as my previous one didn't do this and battery life on previous one lasted for hrs and hrs (not plugged in either).
