**Q: Does this use AA batteries or do you have to plug in to a computer to charge up.**
A: There are 2 models M232 and m232. First one u would plug into a usb socket, a computer will not charge an item like this as the power output is lower than required. Second model is AA batteries ( rechargeable are best) however battery output won’t last as long as the lithium rechargeable version. £64 is rrp for both models.

A: Yes this is the M232, the best ones to have.

I bought the rechargeable battery version. Don't.. my battery failed and the seller hasn't responded. Lights are now useless

Amazing product, great fun and really bright. Takes a while to program the correct theme but practice makes it faster ...all done in binary code. The pro is the upgraded version and wow blow your mind. Get this one first!

    Batteries are crap

Bought these monkey lights before and they came with the battery holder that takes three separate AA batteries which was great. So can take them out and recharge or replace dud ones. Unfortunately both sets of lights were stolen so ordered two more sets. I was very disappointed to see that these come with sealed li-on batteries in a container that can't be individually replaced. So, a couple of years later they don't hold the charge very well.  What a stupid idea.Have bought some battery boxes that hold 3 x AA's batteries and will wire them in and discard these awful li-on ones.
