I don't notice it leaving my hair feeling like straw like a lot of purple shampoos, instead my hair actually feels clean and moisturized after. It's affordable compared to some other brands and it has a good toning effect. The bottle doesn't say how long to leave it on for so I'd start with 1-2 min if you have light blonde hair to make sure it doesn't deposit too much pigment. Oh, and I LOVE the scent.
