It doesn't seem to mar plastic or rubber and you will use less too. **Q: Can this be used to clean Gas Piston on a shotgun? Absolutely no oil allowed.** A: In my opinion yes **Q: Can i use this to clean Glock exterior surfaces? Like removing fingerprints, oils and make it a little shiny** A: It's a solvent, so yes it will clean oil and fingerprints. You must use a good oil for lubrication though.
