So it usually falls to me to do the Yorkshire pud. I cheat, and use this pudding mix. It does the job. I was surprised to read in the product description what is actually contained in the mix: a cocktail of "Mono- and Di-glycerides of Fatty Acids, Lacto Glycerides, Propylene Glycol Esters of Fatty Acids." All I can say is that the glycol esters seem to enhance the taste and the glycerides slip nicely off the palate. I guess all prepared foodstuffs have these additives these days. And they certainly don't detract from the pudding. I can certainly recommend Aunt Bessies Yorkshire Pudding Mix. Mrs Wesley says my puds are perfectly acceptable, better even than those baked by her Aunt Sadie.
