The cap is too small which makes it difficult to dispense hair conditioner. I haven't tried using the bottle for lotion, however, I imagine it would not be practical. I use the bottles in the shower for shampoo, liquid soap and conditioner. It's okay for the first two. Not great, just okay. You have to shake the bottle downward to get the product to go towards the cap. The bottles are nice looking and the price is great. I would give the bottles 5 stars if the cap opening (?) was larger.
