My toddler doesn't mind wearing them as we are starting to potty train, although I do wish they were a bit more absorbent. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Information on sizing, absorbency and more *by C***Y on October 31, 2017* I ordered the Medium size for my 19-month-old, 24-lb son. (For sizing, look at the last photo on the product's page). He wears size 4 diapers and wears 18 mo-2T clothes.They were a bit large for him when they arrived, but shrunk a fair amount after washing and drying (I just threw them in the wash on cold and dried regular). Now they fit him great around the waist and legs. They are a little more baggy around his butt than I expected, and we didn't have the tight-leg-hole complaint that others have had, but that could just be because he is a skinny kid with skinny legs and a skinny butt. The semi-saggy butt doesn't seem to bother him at all, so it doesn't bother me. They fit fine under his regular pants or jeans, even with the ears at the sides.My son LOVES the animal designs and keeps wanting me to hold him up to the mirror so he can turn around and see the animal on his butt. The ones with the ears at the hips (elephant and monkey) are nice because he can grab the ears and pull the underwear up or down that way, whereas it's hard for him to get a grip on the underwear to pull them up or down on his own. The monkey and duck are made of super soft plush material and I like those designs the best -- however, my son has decided he likes the panda the best. Not sure why.The inside of it looks and feels like a thin washcloth. I can tell by feel that there is a layer of waterproof material between the washcloth material and the fabric that makes up the outside of the pants.He hasn't had an accident in them yet, but I did try squirting water into them with a syringe. The first 10 mL absorbed into the pants but still felt wet (which is good for potty training, so no complaints). As I kept adding water, the water did not absorb, just pooled inside the pants, but did also did not leak through the middle of the pants where I was adding the water. Where I ran into issues is when I added so much water (20 mL) that it pooled all the way up to the leg holes. The elastic around the leg holes is not absorbent any more than regular underwear, so that is where it began to leak out.As I have researched, a toddler's bladder (ages 18 months to 3 years) at maximum capacity can hold between 153-220 mL (obviously the bladder getting larger with age). So according to my experiment with leaks coming out at 20 mL, these training pants won't leak (or won't leak much) if your child has small accidents, like they would if you take them to the bathroom frequently, but if your child saves up their pee for hours and then lets it all go in these pants, they won't stand a chance and will probably leak everywhere. It will probably all come out the leg holes.
