I just put the tin in a bowl of hot water, let the balm melt, shake it up, and then let it cool. It'll be nice and smooth again. **Q: What is the consistency of this beard balm? Is it relatively easy & quick to apply?** A: After reading the additional answers, I'd say the consistency is more like butter than peanut butter; thin and applies quickly. It's pretty much an oil after you rub it in your palm for a second or two. I like the balm because it's easier to gauge the amount I want to use vs. oil.
