I worked on small areas at a time, and to my surprise the stain was disappearing. After a couple hours, the stain was nearly gone. I plan to give it another going over to completely eradicate every trace of the stain. I wish that I had thought to take pictures to show the remarkable difference that this etch remover made. I also learned during this process that I should be using a neutral pH floor cleaner.
