I think this is a good starter set for Tunisian crochet as the hook sizes would be appropriate for worsted weight yarn and most baby yarns. The largest hook could also be used for either a moderately chunky yarn or projects that use two strands of yarn held together. The longest cord included is a little over a foot long, so you will need to purchase additional longer cords for larger projects. I recently finished my first project using these hooks and found the mechanism for snapping the cords onto the hooks to be easy to use and secure once attached.
