Do I need to use sealant after this?** A: While in some instances it can be a substitute, it really depends how you are using it. Grout is rigid and semi permanent whereas caulk is flexible and needs to be replaced much more frequently. **Q: Do i need a caulk gun for this product?** A: This product is in a tube and comes out like heavy toothpaste. Made for smaller jobs. **Q: Once this product has dried, what can I use to remove it?** A: I will not buy or recommend this product from Amazon as it did not work, even after applying it twice. Both times it came off over a period of a few weeks (wrinkle & mold). I should have returned it but first thought it was me but, then after my husband got it from the hardware store & I helped removing with a knife & water, we replacing it again with a newer product & no more issues. This product was old. **Q: Can this be used on a kitchen counter and backsplash as well as by the kitchen sink?** A: I used it to seal a crack on my metal porch door and the outside base of my shower. I did the door about six months ago and the shower about a year ago. It is holding up very well.
