Pipe threads are tapered so that as you screw that parts together, the taper creates a seal. That's not my experience with these devices. The tap for internal threads only created a slight groove. No way would that create the seal you expect with pipe threads. The die for external threads is a complete failure. The die itself is not the proper diameter to even begin to cut threads.
