We like to carry a small digital camera, some first aid and sanitation items, and a few snacks. Plus the inevitable phone, of course. This backpack is perfect for us. It fits great with adjustable straps that work for both small and large frames, and it has the front-facing pockets for those items you need quickly such as a phone. The zippered pockets keep the car keys secured, and the exterior pocket on the back is large enough for hydration and even expands to carry a couple bottles of water. The loop on top hangs nicely to air the pack out for the next day's adventure. We ended up getting two, one for each of us, because they're so comfortable to wear an versatile for use.
