Pair of two cables separate - not joined together - high flexibility What are the advantages of a superior audio cable? On the internet there are many nonsense about fancy analog audio cables. In fact, the requirement of unbalanced (or "RCA" if you like it) audio cable is very simple. As a high impedance circuit, the analog audio signal is affected by high frequency roll-off due to excessive capacitance. This is caused by conductors being too close to each other or separated by lower quality dielectrics. Also, unbalanced audio is unbalanced so there is no common mode noise isolation. Noise cancellation is fully dependent on the effectiveness of the shield. LC-1 Design Designed with a small center conductor and large diameter PE foam (or dielectric if you want a "nitrogen" injection), the LC-1 is designed with very low capacitance (about 12.2 pF/feet). Two bare copper shielded braids are placed on the outside of the dielectric and have 95% coverage each. In audio frequencies, braiding is much more effective than foil, which is a heavy shield that can be found in any audio interconnection. Designed in the USA with cables and pre-assembled Bulk Cable Stock is designed by Belden in Richmond, Indiana and assembled these cables in our Seattle, Washington. Review: My mind is blown: 1) wide and deep sound stage; 2) sense of air between instruments result in nice separation and immersive feeling; 3) from lows to highs, the sound is incredibly detailed without colouration—so much detail!; 4) effective shielding as no noise was heard, even after cranking up my amplifier without any music playing; and, 5) great build and very solid connectors with nice ‘click on’ feature to know you’ve made a solid connection. Having the correct pF loading is important to get the frequency response of a MM cartridge right. In my case a AT VM95ML needs 100-200pF ideally. So we have Already 32 pF out of the tonearm , add 36pF from the cable , and another 75 pF of the phono stage (waxwing parks audio). So that’s already 143 pF with this amazing cable. Meaning many people overload their cartridges with noname or the wrong cables (project connect it, studio Mogami cables and many more, especially with long cable runs something crazy like 15 foot).
