It has a nice compression effect but is not overly constricting. Just right. That includes the extended neck. I like the extra coverage of the extended turtle neck during cold weather. I play soccer outdoors during the winter months, and this top provides good compression and coverage to make exercising very comfortable even if the temperature drops into the 30s.According to the information, it is supposed to be usable during the summer also for sun protection, which I can believe. It is not heavy and has excellent coverage. It is very comfortable and the fabric has a nice feel so there are some nights when I actually wear it to bed - and it's great.Now that it has gotten warmer, I will give it a try and see how it feels in the hot sun and heat.Incidentally, I am 6ft, 195lbs, and as suggested, I ordered up one size to XXL, and it was perfect fit. I am very happy with this purchase and could see buying more, but I had already bought some hooded sun protection recently.Two caveats: The "Dr Skin" printed on the neck is fairly large which doesn't bother me - I'm in it for the fit and functionality, not the looks. The other thing is it would have been nice if the wrist had a thumb hole to have additional protection from the sun. Not a deal breaker since the rest of the shirt fits very well and feels great.The most important thing is that it relieved my anxiety of buying online. I mostly like to try things on in a brick and mortar store to see about fit and feel. I did not regret jumping in and taking a chance with this shirt, and like I said, will likely buy another one.It also arrived promptly with no issues. Good purchase and completely satisfied. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ fit and style are excellant *by T***L on January 31, 2025* nice and warm, have purchased addition shirts. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ good value compression shirt *by A***S on December 10, 2018* This shirt seems to be of good quality and fabric. It has a compression fit, so expect it to be fairly tight [which is a good thing in my opinion]. The turtle neck portion of the shirt was higher fitting than I needed, and it didn't look right when I tried to fold it over - it was far too loose [as you would do with a conventional turtleneck]. I didn't need it covering my lower face like the photo shows, so I returned it.
