The conversion to direct current happens inside the unit instead of the the inside of the adapter **Q: The fan chart on the pictures indicate that at approximately 50 mm H2O of static pressure, this fan is not capable of blowing any air. Is this true?** A: Yes that would be true. But if you are using it for what it was designed for it will work. **Q: How do you attach the speed controller? It didn't come with wires for it.** A: On the side if the fan mounting bracket there is a round 3 pin connector covered by a round cap (same as on side of speed controller). Mine did come with a pretty long wire that threads onto these two connections. **Q: Would this blower/exhaust be suitable for steam extraction? steam temperature would be approximately 150 degrees. Is the motor sealed from moisture?** A: The maximum operating temperature for this fan is 140F and maximum humidity is 90%. It does not look like a good option for the application you described, as the temperature over 140F will cause the fan to shut down by the built-in overheating protection.
