Review: When I received the item from desertcart, it was damaged (the box was visibly smashed on a corner), and part of the shelf itself was split, and the shelf wouldn't open. I called the company - and I always let people know about good customer service... and they went above and beyond to make sure it was taken care of. I sent images of the problem, and they warrantied it, sending me a new one. It arrived today and its phenomenal! It doesn't scream "concealement furniture", its mounting is spaced 16" for studs, the magnet goes right where it should and tested/trained a bit with it today. Once the magnet touches, tap softly up on the bottom of the shelf and the mechanism disengages, and a hydraulic keeps the shelf from slamming against the wall. Its really well made, comes with adjustment instructions, and I am blown away at their customer service.

**Q: It won’t open no matter how big of a magnet i use. i have bought several and it kind of sticks but will not open. how can i get it open?**
A: The magnet has to be in the perfect spot, and then you push up on the bottom part of the shelf.

**Q: will this house a 26in shot gun**
A: No. Also be careful of the locking mechanism. Mine malfunctioned after about a month.

**Q: There are 2 different descriptions, does the puck come with or not?if not how do I get one? Went on the store and didn't find it.**
A: Sorry for the confusion! The Puck does not come with the shelf, but the shelf does have a designated spot for the Puck, if you wish to add one for added security. If you have any questions please contact our customer service department at 800-451-6797 and we will get you taken care of!

When I received the item from amazon, it was damaged (the box was visibly smashed on a corner), and part of the shelf itself was split, and the shelf wouldn't open. I called the company - and I always let people know about good customer service... and they went above and beyond to make sure it was taken care of. I sent images of the problem, and they warrantied it, sending me a new one. It arrived today and its phenomenal! It doesn't scream "concealement furniture", its mounting is spaced 16" for studs, the magnet goes right where it should and tested/trained a bit with it today.
