(Those pieces on my old desk are thin and don't actually support the surfaces which is weird.)** A: Yes desk overall is sturdy...the metal is not flimsy or cheap... even the wood on the desk is sturdy.. you wouldnt want one to fall on your foot.. **Q: What size are the cable holes?
