(It's not that rubbery, it's actually rather firm, but it's much less so than the hard orange part). The air pockets are just slightly below the actual corner, so I felt that they wouldn't be as useful for a direct corner hit on the ground, which seems to me the most likely and most damaging type of fall. The Tudia also nicely has air pockets all along the top and bottom of the case, not just on the corners. So since my main point in getting a case is safety, I went with the Merge.You can see in the picture I've attached that the air pocket is just slight to the right of the exact corner. The upper edge (on the left side of the pocket, in the photo) is pretty much where the exact corner is, so if the pocket were shifted just half its width to the left, I probably would have chosen this case instead.Otherwise, I preferred the back on this one (not perfect, but much better at avoiding sliding around), as well as the color. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Pretty Slippery *by L***9 on Reviewed in the United States on February 13, 2019* The Moto G6 is an all glass (front and back) phone, and very slippery on its own. I wanted a case that would have raised edges to allow phone to sit face down, and be 'sticky' enough to pick up without a struggle or felling like it would slip out of my fingers.This case seems good on the protection side, but not sticky enough to be able to easily pick up. The sides (orange) are hard plastic, not soft TPU or the like. In addition, the sides are curved towards the back rather than straight or angled towards the front, so trying to pick it up from a flat surface is not so easy. Doesn't work for what I needed. ### ⭐ Buttons not lining up *by K***R on Reviewed in the United States on August 23, 2018* I liked the case until it made my phone act possessed. It started turning on an off on its own, volume would go to max and I was unable to bring it down.
