At that pressure, you'll push all the contents out in a second or two, which is not the point. You need to slow it down, give the solution a little time to scrub affected areas. I generally cut the pressure to around 40 psi and watch what comes out into a scrupulously clean catch bucket. If ANYTHING shows up, clean out the bucket and refill the canister for another run. Even so, it usually takes 1-3 fills of the canister until you can get a batch that's PERFECTLY clean. Even at that pressure, it will go through a lot of solvent in a very short time as it discharges only a steady stream. In order to extend the time and cleaning effectiveness of a batch, I drilled the tiniest possible hole into the discharge cavity of the top cap. Being above liquid line, it now mixes incoming air with the discharge making a spray instead of a stream. This increases the turbulence of the solvent discharged and improves cleaning action. Much more effective, wastes a lot less solvent. At 200 PSI everything would be blown out of the capture bucket, you'd never know it it was clean or not. Once you get a clean batch, crank up the pressure to about 60-80PSI and let it blow for about a half hour (takes a pretty good compressor to free blow a line at that pressure for that long) to evaporate any traces of solvent that might remain, for these chemicals do not play nice with your compressor. But to answer your question, there is a pressure relief disk that will rupture at high pressure. Warnings on box say do not exceed 150 PSI. **Q: What type of cleaner do you use to flush the AC system? Thank you** A: I used "Super Cool Air Conditioning Fast Flush ". Worked fine for me, in my 1979 Toyota (R12 system). Note: Some complaints about the rubber nozzle. When I first used it, cleaner was spraying all over the place. To solve that problem, I purchased a "Compressor set up kit" from the home center big box store. It came with a smaller nozzle which worked great, and several other items (like a tire pressure gauge, basket ball inflator fitting, etc.). **Q: Is a pancake style compressor such as the Porter Cable able to be used for this?** A: This is an air charged refillable pressure bottle.
