My wife purchase the filter attachment (Black) with reminder dial...not compatible. Supposedly the filter attachment for the K-55 is the clear plastic one that goes into the cold water reservoir and snaps to the bottom outlet. Goin to order it now. Yeah we made that mistake. **Q: Can you use "pods" not made by Keurig?** A: You can use any brand "K" cups in this coffee maker including the filter cups to use your own grounds. But you cannot use the large "pods". This is just an old fashion Keurig coffee maker that works great. **Q: How tall is the coffee maker** A: Closed, approximately 15 inches at the highest curved point. You will need an additional 3 inches to open the top to insert the cup. I have to scoot mine out from under the cabinet to put the pod in but it fits under just fine until then. **Q: How often does this machine require a thorough cleaning?** A: The instructions with the coffeemaker say it is best to clean with a descaling solution every two months which can be purchased on Amazon or at any store that sells coffeemakers.. I use tap water and it has minerals that build up. I clean mine ever three months since I make one cup daily.
