By that I mean, does it produce a different size mince?** A: To me there's a lot of waste with a garlic press. There is none with this. I just put my cloves and gently Rock back and forth until they are pressed through. About the same size but as I said no waste. And for me much easier to use then a garlic press as I am using equal pressure with both hands. **Q: Is this made in the US and if not where?** A: It doesn’t say on the mincer itself and I no longer have the packaging that it came in. I was tired of chopping it myself and dealing with the strong odour on my fingers, I had a traditional garlic crasher too but it would waste too much garlic and crashed it too small. This one is perfect for everyday recipes: + 1. It crashes all garlic into small ovals which are pretty much the size of chopped garlic (not too small or large). 2. It is super easy to clean, just like the picture shows. Nothing gets stuck in it. 3. It is from stainless steel and looks like a good quality. I’ve been using it daily for a couple of months and it looks like it’s really durable. - 1. It does require you to apply a medium level of pressure to crash the garlic. So, for instance, if you have some sort of a wrist injury preventing you from applying force, it may be challenging. Also, my 6 yo child couldn’t apply enough pressure to do this.
