I don't need a closed emitter, I'm not going to be using this red dot in adverse conditions. Mostly the range and in my nightstand gun safe. The glass is clear with no tint to it like some other red dots. Auto brightness is probably going to be too dim but it can be deactivated. It's a feature I never needed so I don't care about that. The build quality is great, fit and finish look good and zeroing was simple and easy with the provided tool. My first holosun but it won't be my last after this experience!
