I contacted Timekettle on a Friday and questioned them on this. I told them I was leaving for Thailand the following Wednesday and purchased these earbuds for that trip. They told me they would look into an expedited replacement for me. They also told me that they are closed on weekends, so it wouldn’t be until Monday before I heard anything about it. It is now October 5 and I have yet to hear from them on this. Be it that I was running out of time, I purchased a second set. Unfortunately, the second set was no better. It was performing exactly the same way as the first set. I wanted these earbuds to work for me and gave them every opportunity to do so, but they failed me in every situation. They failed me in a quiet and also a not so quite restaurant. They failed me while outdoors, and they even failed me in a quiet hotel room. They would commonly translate only a portion of what was said. The biggest problem of all, as mentioned previously is that they would translate words and phrases that were so greatly different from what was said that it was comical. It is good for us that google translate was available. We found ourselves resorting to that every time. We eventually gave up on the earbuds. Additionally, the storage case can be very difficult to open. I struggled with it many times. The buds do not fit well into the ear. I found myself constantly moving them to get as much clarity and volume from them as I could. They move within the ear while in use and require a lot of readjusting. I often found myself cupping my ear with my hand to help me hear what was being said. Be it that I returned the second set as well, I would not recommend purchasing this item.
