A: It depends; immediately after unboxing and charging to full: about 2 hours. 3-4 weeks later: you might as well never unplug the charger.

**Q: Does this battery come charged ?**
A: No it has some power

**Q: Can a psp 3001battery wonk on a psp 1002**
A: No

**Q: Does this battery work for psp 1001?  Do you need the wall charger or can you use the usb charger ?**
A: The battery fit and worked in my PSP-1001, though the capacity plummeted after a month or so. I never tried charging via USB, I only used the wall charger.
