This is an expansion and requires Saboteur to play Directions The Saboteur 2 requires the base game servo tool. First, set up the base game as usual. Then shuffle 30 new pass cards, 21 action cards, and 15 dwarf cards separately. Place the gold nugget tokens near the game board. We have about a dozen games to select from, but this has been our favorite. The expansion brings the challenge up several notches. While the original game is fun in unto itself, the expansion is a must. It is a more fun because it is not just dwarfs vs saboteurs, now most dwarfs have competing goals. There are blue dwarfs, green dwarfs, crystal hunters, bosses, profiteers, and saboteurs. It is now no longer obvious if a player is a saboteur or not, and even if they are, they might not be your biggest threat! It takes us about an hour to get through 3-4 rounds. The rules are a little confusing, but after a few rounds, you'll get a better understanding and will create house rules to tailor to your group. I would recommend playing the original game a few times first, to get used to the mechanics of the game.
