It is about palm size with a heavy aluminum case which should be very durable. The light is bright and easily adjustable from a large diameter to a fairly small diameter beam by sliding the battery compartment. It is powered by 3 1.5 volt triple A batteries. I can't determine whether they are wired in series or parallel. The batteries are put into a carrier that is then inserted into the main body. It is small and light, but puts out a bright beam that is more than enough for walking outside at night. The light pattern is square instead of round, which looks a little different than a traditional flashlight, but it does not affect how usable it is for me.In terms of battery life, I switched to brand name batteries when I got it and have used it for 3-4 hours since and its still as bright as new. I do have some older LED flashlights that went through batteries very quickly when stored, this one does not.👍Pros- Bright beam for a small, inexpensive light.- Compact and easy to carry or store.- At least 3 to 4 hours of usable battery life in my experience.- AAA batteries included, but I did not use.👎Cons- Light pattern is square, not round, which may look odd if you expect a traditional flashlight.
