It's automatic (self winding) which means no batteries to buy and put into the waste stream. It's an attractive watch that works with casual or formal attire. After removing a couple of links using watchband adjusting tools, the band now fits perfectly and is comfortable One feature that Seiko should brag about is the almost sweep second hand. Each second takes four ticks, which makes for a much smoother rotation, not unlike that of a much more expensive watch. An actual sweep second hand found on very expensive watches is merely an illusion anyway, and just has more ticks per second than the average watch. What a bargain!

People were surprised to hear how much i paid for it. my only note is that it was pretty tough to adjust the band length. Im not sure if mine had a slight defect but I had to use all my finger strength for long periods of time to get this watch adjusted. In the end it was worth it!

**Q: Does "automatic" mean self-winding?**
A: Automatic absolutely does mean, “self winding”. There’s no battery and no capacitor, as someone else claimed. As long as you wear the watch at least 10 hours a day then you should never have to hand wind it. Moving your arm throughout the day causes a rotor inside the watch to turn, which winds the watch and will not allow the watch to be overwound by the rotor. Once the main spring is fully wound, it provides anywhere from 40 to 120 hours of reserve spring power (depending on the brand/model), allowing you to place the watch on your nightstand while you sleep or even put it in a drawer over the weekend, and the watch will keep running until you put it back on again. If the watch is stationary for too long and all the energy from the main spring has run out, then put about 5 full turns on the crown, reset the date and time, put the watch on and you’re good to go. The self winding rotor will finish winding the watch for you and keep it wound indefinitely as long as you wear the watch at least 10 hours a day.

**Q: How do I stop the second hand to set the exact second? I pull the crown out to the second position, but the 2nd hand doesn't stop.**
A: Absolutely do NOT put your watch on a magnet. You will magnetize your movement, and kill your accuracy. 

The 7S26 movement is non hacking, so you cannot stop the seconds hand for precise time setting. Look for something with a 4R35 or 4R36 movement if you want to set precise time.

**Q: whats the strap width? the page description says 17mm but i cant find one in that size :/**
A: Lug-to-lug width for SNKL43: 18-mm. Measured it two days ago to order a NATO-style watch strap.

**Q: Wore my new watch for twelve hours, took it off for twelve hours and it stopped. Is this normal??**
A: To me that is not normal. Sincethis movementis supposed to have an power reserve of 41 hours when fully wound spring. Eighter you are not moving your arm much or the watch is defective. I used mine black model now for about 2 weeks and it never stopped. I wore it now not for about 19 hours and it still runs.  Keep in mind that the rotor on the back only turns at an steep 90 degree angle. The self winding weight will not turn on an shallow angle - so it winds only confidently with some wrist up and down movement. Otherwise this is the best watch ever for me. I ordered 2 when the

Its a great looking watch. Came in a nice box and packaging and on time. I wore this to a wedding a got a couple of compliments. People were surprised to hear how much i paid for it. my only note is that it was pretty tough to adjust the band length. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for beginners

I have always been a fan of watching movies but never really got into them, as when I saw the prices, I immediately lost interest. After a few years, there was a wedding that was coming up that I was attending. I am a tech savvy person, I use an apple watch every single day and when this wedding came around, the spark for having a hobby for watches again reignited. It took me about 2 weeks to find the proper watch because I had to learn about the terminology of what a quartz watch is, what mechanical, automatic, etc. I stumbled upon this Seiko watch line-up and one peaked my interest, which was the Seiko SNXS77 and it is the one with a blue face and white dials and it took me a while to pull the trigger as 150 bucks is a lot of money and for a teenager who doesn't have that much money, this was scary. I ordered it and as it arrived in the mail, everything was perfect until I notice that there were scratches on the glass face but my time ran out and I had to take it with me to the wedding. But it didn't really matter plus no one was going to care. Starting the watch and winding it up felt self explanatory and I was able to get it running. Though I do recommend you to wear the watch for at least a couple of hours just so the movement doesn't die overnight. I set the time the day I got it and the next day it was dead. Just wear it for a few hours and byu the time you use it, you have 45 hours until you need to rewind it again by wearing it and moving around. Accruacy is not the best as you really have to time on when to set it as the seconds hand just keeps going and going and its not in sync with your phone. But I got used to it now and I just go by the hour and minutes.
