Given the proliference of shoddy USB-C and Lightning cables, it seemed good to go with a trusted brand. This cable is very well made. It has good strain reliefs, so is unlikely to break. Insulation is good, on par with the Macbook charger. This cable is not braided, which for me is a good thing. My risk is a four year old yanking the cable at a wrong angle. Common sense would indicate that braided cables are better at protecting the cable from being damaged on it's length (kitten bites are particularly bad) but more likely to break at the terminals (as plastic-on-plastic should be a stronger bond than plastic-on-fabric.) Ultimately, this is a well made reliable cable that does the job. Recommended.
