Results were negative. In my opinion, the 5.5w optical laser on the S9 just isn't powerful enough to do that particular job. **Q: Can this be used to cut plastic?** A: Dear customers, of course, you can, just engrave or cut it according to the adjusted parameters. Take for example the following video. **Q: I see cutting through clear acrylic is a no-go, but what if there is a film or vinyl on the clear acrylic, to make it opaque? Wouldn't that work?** A: If it is colored thoroughly, mixed in with the acrylic, it may work. If the pigment is only on the surface, the pigment would ablate and residual heat may or may not be enough to melt through the acrylic beneath, depending of course on thickness.
