I've only had it a couple of weeks, but not shadow problems or anything. The little rubber tips touted as protecting the scope or ring are a bit cheesy. They came off immediately, but I used some glue to put them back on and they have been solid since. The AmScope light doesn't have them, so likely not all that big a deal, but I figured I'd use them if they stayed.
