A: Mine also shipped from Big Fly Sports without batteries (It didn't matter as the product was not functional even with batteries.)

**Q: What are the accent and sex of the speaker?**
A: If you've got an iPhone, get the BS Button in iTunes or Amazon app store.  There are over 200 celebrity impressions.This one has six phrases.  All male.  The accents range from local disaster warning to hillbilly.

**Q: Does it say BS or the actual word?**
A: The actual word

**Q: How do you change the batteries, I can't figure out how to open the back?**
A: The other answers are correct.  There is a small screw (black I believe) that has to be removed with a very small phillips screw driver to open thebattery door.
